Former MSU lineman known more for grit and versatility than box-score flash
Matt Hasbrook’s Michigan State profile is a classic trench-player story: a former wrestling standout who arrived on campus in 2000, redshirted, and later earned a football letter after appearing in four games in the 2002 season, recording two tackles and Academic All-Big Ten honors. He was also recognized as a scout-team defensive player of the week, which hints at coach-trust, toughness, and practice-room competitiveness more than headline stats. If you value an athlete with a strong work ethic, multi-sport toughness, and reliable depth value, he fits the mold.
