Versatile Northern Colorado TE with a wide-body, high-leverage game
Derek Vander Velde gives Northern Colorado a physical tight end/receiver hybrid who brings size, toughness, and red-zone utility more than headline-grabbing volume. Available roster info shows him listed with the Bears, but current season stat leaders and recent game-by-game production were not clearly available in the gathered sources, so the safer read is on role: a versatile target who can line up multiple ways and create mismatch value. If you want a TE who can stress coverage with size and play through contact, he’s a useful fit; if you need a proven statistical producer, the evidence here is thinner.
