Southern Jaguars DL Dominates with Intensity and Defensive IQ
Justin Woods, the Southern University Jaguars defensive lineman, stands out not just for his stats but for his relentless intensity and elite defensive IQ that disrupts opposing offenses before the play begins. While official 2025 season stats are still being finalized, Woods has been a stat leader in tackles for loss and pressure rates during the 2024 season, consistently ranking among the top DLs in the SWAC for snap disruption. His differentiator is his personality: a quiet, focused leader who trains with unmatched grit, often staying late to study film and refine technique. No major injury history; he’s been a full participant in all practices and games. Woods is a perfect fit for any team seeking a high-motor, intelligent DL who elevates the entire defensive unit through sheer presence and preparation.
