Brooks Wright is a rising power-catching bat with legit regional pedigree
In the 2026 season, Brooks Wright emerged as a redshirt freshman catcher for App State with a .222 average, a .920 OPS, and 4 RBIs in team stats, while also flashing pop with a grand slam and his first collegiate home run in May 2026. He’s a strong, right-handed receiver at 6-foot-1, 240 pounds, and his high-school résumé was loud: three-time all-state honors and Perfect Game’s top catcher in Tennessee. That blend of physicality, upside, and proven offensive burst makes him intriguing if you want a catcher with real bat-to-ball thump and some juice.
