Sam Poutasi brings veteran size, depth, and battle-tested grit to Oregon’s offensive line
In the 2026 season, Sam Poutasi is a senior offensive lineman for Oregon at 6-4, 297, giving the Ducks experienced depth with a sturdy interior frame and the kind of maturity coaches love on a line room full of moving parts[1]. His biggest differentiators are age, versatility, and persistence: he’s been around the program for years, has survived a serious 2017 overtraining/rhabdomyolysis hospitalization, and still remains in the mix as a dependable, low-drama veteran presence[1][4][8]. He may not be a headline-grabbing star, but he looks like a classic “trust him to do his job” fit for a contender[1][6].
