Cobie Barnes

SIUE’s 6-7 Guard with High-Intensity Drive and Underrated Scoring Flair

Cobie Barnes, a 6-7 (201cm) guard for the SIUE Cougars, stands out not just for his 2.7 PPG and 43.9% FG in the 2023–24 season, but for his elite intensity, defensive hustle (2 steals in his career-high 8-point game in 2022), and rare size for a guard. Though he went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Barnes brings a high-energy personality, strong free-throw shooting (7/10 in 2022–23), and a proven ability to elevate team scoring when trusted—averaging 16.1 PPG and 6.8 RPG in high school. His injury history is minimal, and his relentless mindset makes him a perfect fit for teams needing a versatile, physical guard who can defend multiple positions and contribute off the bench with grit and consistency.
