Marist’s depth-chart safety to watch
O'Connell is listed on Marist’s football roster as a **safety**, but the program’s public roster page does not show any current player statistics for him, so his impact is not captured in box-score production. That makes him more of a projection piece than a proven stat leader right now: a player to evaluate through practice reps, special-teams value, and defensive fit rather than headlines. If you’re looking for a roster fit, he profiles as a developmental defensive back whose value would likely come from reliability, assignment discipline, and upside rather than immediate splash numbers.
