Christian Aiello is Rider’s do-everything lefty, and the numbers are loud
In the 2026 season, Christian Aiello emerged as one of the MAAC’s top pitchers for Rider, posting an 8-3 record with a 3.64 ERA, 71 strikeouts in 54.1 innings, and a 1.23 WHIP while handling big-game, high-leverage moments[2][3]. He’s a crafty left-hander who can start or relieve, and his calling card is swing-and-miss stuff plus the poise to escape jams—like his 11-strikeout, 6.0-scoreless-inning gem against Sacred Heart and a 4.2-inning scoreless relief outing in the MAAC championship run[1][4][5].
