Darien Townsend brings proven pass-rush pedigree and veteran versatility to UIW
Darien Townsend is a battle-tested edge defender whose value goes beyond raw totals: he owns a documented track record of producing at multiple levels, including a 2019 season at Marist with 35 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and a fumble recovery, and he was active as a graduate athlete at UIW. That mix of experience, length, and edge-setting experience makes him the kind of DE who can stabilize a front, though his recent public stat trail is thin, so the big question is current form and workload. If you need a mature, high-effort, rotational pass rusher with a longer football résumé, he’s the kind of fit that usually ages well.
