Sitiveni Tamaivena brings veteran LB size and old-school toughness to the Lobos
Tamaivena is a physical, experienced linebacker with NFL-style measurables for the Mountain West at 6-foot-0 and 231 pounds, and he’s long been valued for his run-stuffing presence and straight-line pop. New Mexico’s roster lists him as a senior linebacker, while older profiles note his path through Mt. San Antonio College and his dual-sport background, which adds to the “toughness first” vibe that coaches love. The big question is current 2026 production, and the available public info is thin; still, if you want a linebacker who projects as a tone-setter, Tamaivena checks the box.
