UC Davis DT David Winer: Interior depth piece in a disruptive Aggie front
David Winer is a UC Davis defensive tackle whose value is more about *front-line toughness and role fit* than flash; the Aggies’ 2024 defensive-line preview shows a unit led by high-end talent, which suggests Winer’s job is to help anchor the interior and keep the defense sturdy against the run.[9] I couldn’t verify public stat leaders or detailed scouting notes for Winer in the available sources, so the safest read is that he projects as a physical, scheme-dependent contributor rather than a headline-grabbing star—worth caring about if you need a dependable DT who can do the dirty work and fit a strong defensive room.[9]
