Sam Peterson brings veteran size and sink-or-swim bullpen value to Arkansas State
In the 2026 season, the 6-foot-5, 210-pound senior right-hander arrived at Arkansas State as a battle-tested arm after posting a 2-1 record with two saves across 23 innings at Tyler JC, and he was also noted for 23 strikeouts in 17 appearances there.[1][13] That profile suggests a power-armed reliever who can handle leverage, and his transfer pedigree plus multi-stop college path points to a pitcher with resilience and experience rather than a pure projection arm.[13] The big question for a fit: he looks like a useful bullpen piece if your staff values size, maturity, and strikeout flashes over pristine availability or a flashy stat line, especially since Arkansas State’s 2026 roster listing shows no appearance data for him yet.[1]
