Brad Grindlinger brings a big-bodied, strike-throwing depth arm to Long Beach State
In the 2026 season, Brad Grindlinger has been a useful bullpen piece for Long Beach State, showing he can give the Dirtbags innings in relief, including scoreless work against Cal State Fullerton and a one-inning, one-hit outing with two strikeouts against Cal Poly. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound redshirt sophomore from Huntington Beach is a right-hander with a sturdy frame, a comeback path after redshirting at Charleston Southern, and the kind of local pedigree Long Beach State likes: tough, experienced, and still developing. He looks more like a grinder than a headline-chaser, which is not a bad thing in college baseball.
