Rich McDonald brings veteran FCS depth to Sacred Heart’s receiver room
Rich McDonald is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound wideout from Sparta, N.J., whose value at Sacred Heart has been more about reliability and football IQ than flashy volume. In the 2018 season, Sacred Heart’s roster listed him as a sophomore receiver, and later Rutgers bio notes he played in six games during his 2018 season at Sacred Heart before transferring. His profile suggests a compact, dependable slot-style target with multi-year program experience and competitive pedigree from a state-championship high school background—useful for a team needing a steady, disciplined pass-catcher rather than a pure highlight-reel burner.
