Scott Mitchell was Rice’s road-grading anchor at tackle
In the 2010 season, Scott Mitchell was a fixture at left tackle for Rice and carried a standout reputation: he started 38 consecutive games, earned Conference USA All-Freshman honors in 2007, second-team All-C-USA recognition in 2009, and entered his senior year on the Rotary Lombardi Award watch list. His differentiator was reliability under pressure—he could play both tackle spots, hold up through injuries around him, and project as a high-upside pro prospect. If you want a lineman with toughness, versatility, and proven big-game durability, Mitchell fits the bill.
