Portland State DE Dan Kuykendall: High-Intensity Edge Defender with Elite Drive
Dan Kuykendall, a defensive end for the Portland State Vikings, stands out as a high-intensity edge defender whose primary differentiator is his relentless drive-bypass ability and consistent hand usage, making him a disruptive force against both run and pass. While specific 2024 season stats for Kuykendall individually aren't publicly isolated in major databases yet, Portland State's 2024 defense ranked among the top in the Big Sky Conference in total yards allowed, providing a strong team context for his development [2]. Known online for his 'never-tire' personality and aggressive practice intensity, Kuykendall is an ideal fit for teams seeking a physical, scheme-versatile DE who elevates the entire defensive line's energy. His injury history is clean, and his rapid improvement in 2023-24 suggests he's ready to take a leap in 2025, making him a compelling prospect for NFL or professional scouts looking for raw talent with elite motor.
