SWAC Speedster with 696-Yard, 6-TD 2011 Season and NFL Draft Buzz
LaQuinton Evans is a 6'1", 203-lb senior WR from Southern University (2011 season) who differentiates as one of the SWAC’s fastest wideouts, posting 45 receptions for 696 yards and 6 TDs in 2011 after 5 TDs in 2010 [2]. His combination of elite speed, big-play intensity, and proven red-zone production (11 career TDs through 2011) earned him All-SWAC recognition under coach Jorge Baez and generated 2012 NFL Draft interest [2][5]. While his college stats are from 2010–2011 and he is no longer active in current college football (2025–2026), his profile as a high-intensity, downfield threat with HBCU Bowl Week standout performance makes him a compelling fit for teams needing vertical speed and reliable TD scoring—if you’re evaluating historical HBCU talent or NFL pipeline prospects from that era [2][5].
