Baylor’s former three-star linebacker with real takeoff speed
Trent Spence arrived at Baylor as a consensus three-star linebacker from Klein Collins, praised for his compact 6-2, 220-225 frame, instinctive play, and production as a high-school tackler who posted 50 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble in his sophomore season. He was also noted as a physical, district-awarded defender with a family pedigree — his brother Brad Spence plays linebacker at Arkansas — but reports indicate he left Baylor shortly before the 2025 season, so the real question now is fit and follow-through rather than on-field Baylor production.
