Bakersfield’s homegrown right-hander Brady Durkan brings a winner’s pedigree to CSUB
In the 2026 season, Brady Durkan is a freshman right-handed pitcher for Cal State Bakersfield who has logged 0.2 innings with 1 strikeout, 0 walks, and no hits allowed, a tiny sample but a clean debut line for a local arm[1][2]. The bigger story is his profile: CSUB’s staff called him the top high-school arm in their 2025 class and “an absolute winner,” and his Frontier High résumé includes the school’s first perfect game plus school-record wins[3][1]. He looks like a fit for teams that value strike-throwing, competitiveness, and hometown toughness over flashy radar-gun hype[1][3].
