Nehki Meredith brings blue-collar depth and proven ball skills to JMU’s secondary
Nehki Meredith is a compact, physical cornerback for James Madison who entered the program with strong pedigree — he was ranked the No. 8 recruit in Virginia and No. 31 athlete nationally by ESPN — and he already showed flashes in the 2022 season with 2 tackles and a half tackle for loss in 3 games. His listing as a redshirt sophomore signals room to grow, but his profile suggests a useful fit for a defense that values toughness, versatility, and competitive edge over flash. In short: intriguing upside, special-teams utility, and a sneaky-good depth piece with upside.
