Experienced Toreros linebacker with steady, high-usage depth value
Downing profiles as a reliable, veteran-style linebacker who has earned snaps through consistency rather than flash, appearing in multiple games across several seasons for San Diego and contributing tackles when called upon.[1] His value is in trust, versatility, and game familiarity: he has shown he can step in, do the dirty work, and stay ready for rotational duty on defense.[1] If your team wants a proven, low-drama, physical depth piece who understands how to fit within a system, he makes sense.
