Old Dominion LB Patrick Smith-Young brings proven production and playmaking
Patrick Smith-Young is a productive, multi-phase defender for Old Dominion, coming off the 2024 season with 42 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble in 10 games. His differentiators are versatility and disruption: he can help as a tackler, blitzer, and turnover creator, with prior 2023 North Texas production showing he can sustain impact across seasons. For a team, he profiles as a high-motor, experienced linebacker/safety hybrid who adds toughness, adaptability, and field awareness.
