Deontae North brings proven scoring punch and two-way edge to Portland State
Deontae North is a guard who stands out for his proven scoring ability, rebounding from the wing, and disruptive defense, with high-school production that included 18.8 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.6 steals per game as a senior. In Portland State’s orbit, he profiles as a versatile, physical backcourt fit who can help in multiple phases rather than just pile up shots. His value is in the blend: he scores, competes, and impacts possessions with toughness—useful traits for a team looking for a guard who can do more than create offense.
