Austin Peay's Reliable 2013 Long Snapper with Punt Coverage Impact
Michael Dunphy, Austin Peay's long snapper (LS), played all 12 games in the 2013 season, delivering consistent snaps for Ben Campbell's school-record 87 punt attempts while contributing four tackles in punt coverage—a differentiator showing he's not just a specialist but an active defensive contributor. Though stats are from 2013, his intensity and reliability under pressure stand out; no injury history is recorded, and teammates describe him as calm, focused, and fiercely competitive. He's a great fit for teams needing a snapper who also supports coverage units, offering value beyond pure snapping accuracy. Why care? He brings rare dual-threat capability in a role often overlooked.
