Alabama State’s downhill DL coach-style presence with SWAC roots
Jeremy Watkins is best known as a former Alabama State defensive lineman who built his reputation on physical, disciplined line play and later developed into a respected defensive-line coach across multiple levels. His Alabama State ties and experience helping defenses improve suggest a strong fit for programs that value technique, toughness, and player development over raw flash. Because the available information points more to coaching and leadership than recent on-field stats, his differentiator is credibility: he understands the position from both sides and brings proven SWAC experience.
