veteran Youngstown State CB with a nose for the ball
Eric Thompson is a proven Youngstown State cornerback whose best trait has long been his ball production and experience: in the 2014 season, he started nine games and was used in nickel packages and multiple spots in the secondary, while his high school résumé included 14 pass breakups as a senior. He profiles as a disciplined, versatile defender who fits teams that value toughness, coverage flexibility, and a player comfortable doing the dirty work rather than chasing headlines. The big question is current form, because the available reliable info is older, but the pedigree says competitive, physical, and dependable.
