Develle Barksdale gives Chicago State a reliable early chain-mover
In the 2026 season, Develle Barksdale has already shown he can be Chicago State’s go-to wideout, leading the Cougars in receiving with 6 catches for 70 yards against Roosevelt and adding 1 catch for 22 yards against UT Martin. The 6'1", 185-pound junior from Sacramento looks like a steady, functional target rather than a pure highlight-reel merchant: he’s getting early volume, working as a possession receiver, and helping a new program find offensive footing. If your team wants a dependable WR with size and a live-ball feel, he’s worth a closer look.
