DeAndre Heckard brings steady guard play and sneaky defensive punch for SFA
DeAndre Heckard, a 6-1 guard for Stephen F. Austin, has been more of a steady connective piece than a high-volume scorer, with career numbers around 4.3 points, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 rebounds per game in his 2020-21 season profile. He stands out as a floor general with defensive edge — a reliable passer who can pressure the ball, create a little chaos, and fit a system that values toughness and pace. If you need a disciplined, low-drama guard who can organize the offense and compete on defense, he’s the kind of fit coaches tend to love.
