Nya Mason brings size, rebounding, and post presence to San Diego
Nya Mason is a **6-2 center** who gives San Diego a physical interior option with proven board work and efficient finishing around the rim; in her Toreros stint, she played in 29 games with 14 starts and averaged 3.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, including a career-high 11 rebounds in one outing[3]. Her value is less about volume scoring and more about **reliable post minutes**, length, and the ability to impact possessions without needing the ball a lot[3]. For a team needing a steady, paint-focused big who can defend, rebound, and stay within role, she profiles as a useful fit[3].
