CAA Player of the Year with Historic Power & Elite Defense
Sydney Shaffer, the Delaware Blue Hens' graduate catcher, is a CAA Player of the Year who combines elite power (19 HRs, 57 RBIs in 2025) with near-perfect defense (.997 fielding %, just 1 error in 336 chances). Her differentiators include a 421/.540/.888 slash line, a six-game hitting streak, and the intensity of a leader who set program records for HRs, RBIs, and batting average. Beyond stats, she's known for her calm under pressure, team-first mentality, and ability to anchor a CUSA title run on home field. She's a top-tier fit for any team needing a power-hitting catcher with championship DNA and minimal injury history.
