Weber State’s old-school matchup nightmare at fullback
In the 2008 season, Marcus Mailei was a First-Team All-Big Sky fullback and Honorable Mention All-American who stood out as a punishing blocker, reliable short-yardage runner, and savvy receiver out of the backfield. Weber State’s own history pages describe him as one of the most versatile fullbacks in the league, noting his strength, pass-catching value, and ability to create tough yards when the game got ugly. If your team wants a tone-setter who does the dirty work and still sneaks into the playbook as a real weapon, Mailei is your guy.
