Georgia Tech’s Adam McKelvey is a big-bodied lefty with real swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, McKelvey has flashed the kind of left-handed arm that gets attention fast: he’s listed at 6-foot-4, 248 pounds, and his early work out of the bullpen included 7 strikeouts in 3.1 innings with a 0.00 ERA across three appearances, after a 2025 freshman year in which he logged 3.0 innings over four games with a 6.00 ERA. His best differentiators are strikeout potential, power carry from the left side, and enough pitch feel to miss bats; his pre-college scouting notes praised a lively mid-80s fastball, a solid slider/changeup mix, and efficient tempo. He’s the kind of arm you care about if your team wants a developmental, high-upside LHP who can grow into leverage innings.
