From Detroit Mercy Bench to CEBL Perimeter Sniper
Cole Long, the 6'8 Canadian forward who played sparingly at Detroit Mercy (2016-19, averaging 2.7 PTS, 2.2 REB in 79 games), has evolved into a reliable pro shooter overseas—leading Newcastle Eagles in 2024-25 with 37.5% from three on 11.7 PTS, 5.3 REB per game. His international grit in Norway and Sweden, plus recent signing with Niagara River Lions for 2026 CEBL, highlights floor-spacing smarts and consistency that bench stats hid; a smart, high-IQ fit for teams needing versatile wings with pro-proven range.
