steady, clutch Middle Tennessee kicker with a standout leadership profile
Gendreau was a reliable Middle Tennessee placekicker who earned the 2011 Terry Whiteside Award for excellence in academics, athletics, strength training, community service, and character, which points to a disciplined, high-accountability profile beyond the box score.[2] He also became nationally known as an openly gay college football player, adding a meaningful differentiator in composure and resilience under pressure.[1][3] If you want a kicker with proven consistency, strong program fit, and visible leadership traits, he stands out more for reliability and character than raw athletic flash.[2][3]
