a physical, old-school linebacker with proven tackle production
Worthen profiles as a sturdy, high-tackle linebacker with a history of disruptive play, anchored by his 2011 prep résumé at Swainsboro, where he posted 171 tackles, 4 sacks, and 9 tackles for loss in a season. That kind of production usually signals a downhill, contact-first defender who can diagnose fast and finish with attitude — the fun part, if you like linebackers who don’t exactly arrive gently. I don’t have verified 2026 Georgia Southern season stat lines here, so treat this as a role-and-traits snapshot rather than a current stat-leader read. He looks like a fit for a defense that values physicality, instincts, and special-teams toughness.
