Houston's Explosive All-Purpose WR Turned NFL Draft Pick & Rising Coach
Demarcus Ayers electrified the Houston Cougars as a dynamic WR and return specialist from 2013-15, finishing 3rd in program history with 1,163 kick return yards and 11th with 3,763 all-purpose yards plus 14 TDs; an AAC First-Team honoree and Special Teams Player of the Year, his speed, elusiveness, and playmaking intensity shone in highlights dubbed 'The Most Underrated' by ESPN. Post-college, he parlayed that into a 7th-round Steelers pick (2016), brief NFL stints (6 rec, 53 yds, 1 TD career), and pro leagues like XFL—now a quality control coach at North Texas after Indiana grad assistant role, proving his football IQ for any developmental staff.
