Agile FCS Defensive Back with Proven Tackling Upside for South Carolina State
JaQuan Toney, a dynamic defensive back for the South Carolina State Bulldogs, stands out with his quick instincts and ball-hawking ability, making him a reliable cover corner in FCS matchups; his ESPN profile highlights consistent game highlights, while USA Today notes his athletic vitals as ideal for slot or outside roles. With no major injury history and a high-motor intensity that disrupts passing games, Toney's differentiator is his football IQ in zone coverage—perfect for teams needing versatile depth who can contribute immediately as a special teams ace or rotational DB.
