Luther Maddy brings disruptive inside pressure and veteran edge to Virginia Tech’s front
Luther Maddy is a strong, active defensive tackle who stood out for Virginia Tech in the 2013 season with All-ACC recognition and a proven knack for collapsing the pocket, including 6.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hurries the previous year. His appeal goes beyond raw production: at 6-foot-1 and around 293–296 pounds, he plays with leverage, toughness, and urgency, though his 2014 season was interrupted by knee surgery and a subsequent shutdown. If you want an interior lineman who can create pressure and bring physicality, he fits; if durability is a top priority, the injury history matters.[2][6][7][3]
