veteran Morgan State linebacker with proven tackling chops
Damare' Whitaker is a seasoned Morgan State linebacker whose calling card is production: in the 2018 season he ranked among the MEAC leaders with 68 total tackles and 45 solo stops, and earlier in his career he posted 66 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in the 2015 season. He projects as a tough, instinctive, downhill defender who brings consistency, experience, and strong run support; that makes him a fit for a team that values reliability and physicality over flash. His long resume suggests a player who understands leverage, urgency, and how to survive a phone booth fight.
