Tough, trust-driven SIU linebacker who played through injury and keeps producing
Zach Burrola is a physical, battle-tested Southern Illinois linebacker whose value goes beyond box-score tackling: in the 2023 season he played in 10 games with 6 starts, finished with 37 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks, and was notable enough to play through a torn meniscus during SIU’s playoff run.[2][5] That combination of toughness, experience and edge makes him attractive to teams that want a dependable inside defender who can hold up in high-leverage situations.[5][8]
