Kodee Varner is a depth-running back who earned trust as a scout-team standout at North Dakota
Varner’s value at North Dakota has been built more on reliability and practice impact than box-score production: he was named the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Scout after earning Offensive Scout of the Week honors three times, which signals consistency, attention to detail, and buy-in behind the scenes. Public stat trackers show only minimal game usage so far, so he reads more like a developmental back than a finished product. For a team, that can mean a player who brings toughness, preparation, and unglamorous but useful depth rather than immediate offensive star power.
