Eric Franklin brings veteran Maryland DB instincts and proven production
Eric Franklin is a former Maryland defensive back whose college résumé shows durability and real playmaking value: 40 games played, 25 starts, 181 tackles, 13 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions across his Terrapins career. His differentiator was reliability in the secondary—he was a four-year letterwinner who could tackle, diagnose quickly, and stay on the field. That profile fits teams looking for a high-IQ, fundamentally sound DB rather than a pure splash-play athlete; public sources do not show current 2026 playing stats, so his current on-field form is not verifiable from available data.
