In the 2023 season at UTEP, Tyrin Smith posted 19 catches for 191 yards and 1 touchdown, and his best college stretch came in 2022 when he led UTEP with 71 receptions for 1,039 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s a quick, low-center-of-gravity receiver who can win underneath, create yards after the catch, and add return value; at 5-foot-7, his game is built on separation, tempo, and toughness rather than size. The one question is durability, with his 2025 Texas State listing later noting a hamstring issue, so he’s a high-upside fit if a staff wants a dynamic slot weapon.
