Varidel was the kind of guard who changes a game with spacing: in the 2012-13 season at FGCU, he averaged 6.2 points in 16.2 minutes and finished his Eagles career with a program-best 39.5% three-point mark, plus 138 made threes, ranking third in school history.[1][2] His calling card was instant offense off the bench, strong free-throw shooting, and a proven big-game trigger from beyond the arc—he even had a 29-point eruption earlier in his FGCU career.[2] One caution: injuries later derailed his pro path, so durability matters if you’re buying the full package.[3]
