dependable, versatile Hoosiers back with a team-first edge
Ricky Brookins has been the kind of Indiana running back coaches trust: compact, versatile, and reliable in multiple roles. In the 2018 season, he was described by IU as “Mr. Dependable,” with a great attitude and the ability to do just about everything asked of him; his career line at Indiana was 242 rushing yards on 41 carries (5.9 average), 30 catches for 174 yards, and 18 kickoff returns for 289 yards. He also earned IU’s L.E.O. (Love Each Other) Award in 2019, underscoring his reputation as a strong locker-room fit.
