Anthony Sciarroni brings a physical, two-way defensive profile to Valparaiso
Sciarroni is best viewed as a versatile, high-effort defender with real athletic pedigree, having played football at St. Francis DeSales before joining Valparaiso athletics; his background suggests toughness, competitiveness, and the kind of under-the-radar value coaches like in a DB room. Publicly available football stat lines from his high school career show he contributed across categories rather than as a pure volume specialist, which fits a developmental, assignment-sound defensive back profile. He looks like a fit for a program that values reliability, special-teams utility, and players who bring intensity beyond the box score.
