Appalachian State’s Mauler at Guard
Gossett was a cornerstone for App State’s offensive line, starting 46 straight games and earning first-team All-Sun Belt honors twice, with the Mountaineers ranking in the national top 20 in sacks allowed and top 25 in rushing yards per game during his starting years. In the 2017 season, he led the line with 76 knockdown blocks and 21 pancakes, while allowing no sacks and committing only three penalties, which is the kind of clean, physical profile coaches love. He stood out for consistency, edge, and nastiness—basically the kind of blocker who makes defensive linemen regret their life choices.
