Elite CB for Dayton Flyers with 27 Tackles, 5 PBUs, and a Forced Fumble in 2022
Elijah Smith, the Dayton Flyers' starting cornerback in the 2022 season, delivered standout performance with 27 tackles (21 solo), five pass breakups, one interception, and a forced fumble across all nine games[7]. His differentiators include exceptional intensity, starting every game without injury, and a personality marked by relentless pursuit and football IQ that exceeds raw stats. While his 5-11, 165-lb frame (from McDaniel roster data, likely same athlete) suggests agility over bulk, his intensity and coverage skills make him a high-fit CB for teams prioritizing speed and coverage over size. Fans should care because he’s a proven, durable leader who turns pressure into production[7][9].
