Nicholls' Defensive Anchor with Elite Intensity and Growth Trajectory
Logan Mock, the Nicholls State catcher, stands out not just for his .986 fielding percentage (top 6 in East Bay) but for his relentless intensity and visible physical growth since the 2024 Area Code Tryouts, where his strength gains were unmistakable. In the 2024 season with Southern Indiana, he batted .287 with 35 RBIs in 45 games, showcasing offensive versatility with 7 doubles, a triple, and 3 HRs. Though his 2026 Nicholls stats are limited (8 hits, 5 RBI in 13 games), his defensive reliability and high-pressure mindset make him a perfect fit for teams needing a catcher who commands the mound with authority. No major injury history is reported, and his personality reflects a dedicated, team-first athlete who thrives in competitive environments.
