Low-usage Mississippi State guard with size, patience, and a redshirt runway
In the 2021-22 season, Tyler Brumfield appeared in 5 games for Mississippi State and scored 0.4 points per game, with his first career points coming at the free-throw line; he also redshirted the 2022-23 season while practicing with the team. The big takeaway: he has the body and developmental profile of a 6-foot-2 guard who has been brought along carefully, which usually points to a player valued more for growth potential, team habits, and practice impact than box-score production right now. If you want immediate scoring, he is not that guy yet; if you want a long-term depth piece with room to grow, there’s intrigue.
